I had to visualize it myself, but indeed when you are talking about a pond where each day the number of lily pads double and on day 30 it’s completely covered, on the 29th day it’s only half full.
But more interestingly it isn’t until day 24 when it is over 1% filled. And on day 15 it’s still 0.003% filled.
