Ever since I worked for eBay under John Donahoe, I’ve been an avid shopper there. It’s my hobby to buy things on eBay because it makes it sort of like a game for me. Okay okay okay. I know that’s stretching it, but fun is fun!
In this case I almost ended up in a near-miss situation, but the miracle of a last-minute “one extra dollar” changed everything. Note to self: Unfortunately for me, this means I’m going to be overbidding more often in the future. —JM
