Hazard taxonomy triptychs include: A (natural, technology, human-made), B (natural, human-made, hybrid), and C (natural, accidental, purposeful). The OG is D (attack, natural hazards, hazardous materials <– later became ‘technological’). It’s both complicated *and* complex — and frankly more than a little depressing. Because natural hazards are the one common thread across all taxonomies, I’ve started there and will work my way across … step by step. I’ve found that the world can feel like a slightly less dangerous place when exploring #criticaleventmanagement If you’d like to come along and learn with me, I’ve posted a few “disaster recipes” this week: ⛈Hurricanes 101: https://lnkd.in/dd__PNW 🔥Wildfires 101: https://lnkd.in/diDpf8e ⛲️Floods 101: https://lnkd.in/duWwM56
Other ones:

And
- Direct
- Indirect
- Intangible
But my favorite feels like:
